MISSOULA, Mont. — Today a discussion on issues and challenges with bridge infrastructure in Missoula gets underway with Missoula County Public Works, and the State Department of Transportation.
The latest inspection by Montana’s Department of Transportation found the Maclay Bridge, on the west side of Missoula can no longer hold traffic safely.
Missoula County reports that they got parts of the bridge second hand from up the Blackfoot Valley that are 100 years old or more. It’s one of more than 25 bridges across Montana that analysts say there isn’t enough money for repairs.
