“This your mvp?”- NBA fans mock Giannis Antetokounmpo as Myles Turner puts him on a massive poster

Date:

Giannis Antetokounmpo and the surging Milwaukee Bucks hosted the Indiana Pacers on Thursday (Mar. 16) night at Fiserv Forum. However, the Pacers took home a 139-123 win, with Myles Turner putting Antetokounmpo on a massive poster.

With Indiana up by 14 points late in the fourth quarter, T.J. McConnell drove to the basket and drew two defenders. He passed the ball to the wide-open Turner, who dunked it on Giannis Antetokounmpo with authority. The slam drew a reaction from fans in attendance, as well as commentators.

The Bucks (50-20) remain in first place atop the Eastern Conference, while the Pacers (32-38) inched back to play-in reckoning. If things fall into place for both teams, Milwaukee vs Indiana could be a first-round matchup.

Antetokounmpo remains one of the best defenders in the world and should be lauded for not being afraid to get dunked on. Meanwhile, Myles Turner finally got his revenge on “The Greek Freak” after being posterized twice by him during his career.

Fans on social media were quick to react to Turner’s poster slam on Antetokounmpo. Some praised the Indiana Pacers big man for throwing it down on quite possibly the best player in the world, while others took shots at the two-time MVP.

Here are some of the reactions and memes from Twitter, with one posting:

The Indiana Pacers were missing their best player, Tyrese Haliburton, against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night. Haliburton has been dealing with an ankle injury for the last two games and missed his third-straight contest.

Nevertheless, the Pacers played amazingly well to take down the mighty Bucks. Eight players scored in double figures for Indiana, led by Andrew Nembhard, with 24 points and five assists. Aaron Nesmith added 22 points, while T.J. McConnell contributed 15 points and 12 assists off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Bucks didn’t have the best night at the defensive end, as they missed Brook Lopez down the middle. Giannis Antetokounmpo was in foul trouble but still managed 25 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

Jrue Holiday had 19 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists, while Khris Middleton added 16 points and seven assists. The Bucks will be back in action on Sunday (Mar. 19) against the Toronto Raptors, while the Pacers will take on the Philadelphia 76ers a day earlier.
