Ottawa police seeking witnesses to assault near Carlingwood Shopping Centre

The Ottawa Police Service (OPP) is looking to speak to witnesses after an assault near the Carlingwood Shopping Centre.

Around 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, police responded to a call from a person reporting they had been assaulted in the 2100 block of Carling Avenue.

The victim told police they had been waiting to catch a bus when they got into an altercation with the suspect.

The victim told police they were assaulted by the suspect following a verbal argument.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to police.
